“Clothe yourselves with compassion kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” Colossians 3:12
For me it is really easy to get caught up in always wanting more. No matter how many times I spend half my paycheck on makeup and clothes or shoes my closet still comes up short in my eyes. I am never satisfied. I think to myself “Oh if I can just save up enough to buy that Prada bag then I will be done with buying bags and I won’t even think about them anymore!” (LOL). Anything I need to say to talk myself into verifying the purchase. Wouldn’t it be awesome if I sought after my relationship with Jesus the same way I seek these trivial things? I know he is the only place I can find true fulfillment not just temporary satisfaction from a purchase. He doesn’t care what or who I am wearing. He cares about what I’m wearing on my heart. So when I wake up every day I’ll be praying that the spirit clothes me in compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience before I even think about what I’ll wear physically. The designer of my heart and yours is the King of Kings. He freaking created Prada, Chanel, Louis Vuitton or whatever other brands you desire. He freely gives eternal life, fulfillment, satisfaction, or whatever else you may be searching for. Best part is no cash, credit, or check required. Take that Chanel!
